Synopsis
L'esordio al lungometraggio di Brusa e Scotuzzi racconta di una famiglia che scopre come la celebrità inaspettata abbia un costo altissimo. L'enorme fornace, ipnotica e mostruosa, che ospita il film in lunghe sequenze evocative, ospita anche i turni alienanti di Giovanni, entrato nel girone dantesco degli italiani costretti a trasferirsi all'estero dopo aver perso il lavoro in pandemia. È la Polonia la meta di Giovanni (Giovanni Storti) e l'unica ancora di salvezza per evitare di disgregare i membri della famiglia sono le videochiamate con la moglie (Alessandra Faiella). Così, per tenere viva la connessione, si cena insieme a millecinquecento chilometri di distanza e poi si cerca di fare insieme un piatto di spaghetti. Ma il web è in agguato e quel video intimo diventa virale e i due protagonisti, coadiuvati da Pietro il figlio adolescente (Davide Calgaro), diventano famosi loro malgrado.
Brusa and Scotuzzi's feature debut tells the story of a family that discovers that unexpected fame comes at a very high cost. The enormous, hypnotic and monstrous furnace that hosts the film in long, evocative sequences also hosts Giovanni's alienating shifts, having entered Dante's circle of Italians forced to move abroad after losing their jobs during the pandemic. Giovanni (Giovanni Storti) is headed to Poland, and the only lifeline to avoid breaking up the family members is video calls with his wife (Alessandra Faiella). So, to keep the connection alive, they have dinner together fifteen hundred kilometers away and then try to make a plate of spaghetti together. But the web is lurking and that intimate video goes viral and the two protagonists, aided by Pietro, their teenage son (Davide Calgaro), become famous in spite of themselves.
